Bathroom Brilliance

The bathroom is one of the busiest rooms in your home, yet so often overlooked when interior updates are taking place. Give your bathroom a lift this summer with a few simple touches.

Selecting the best lighting for your bathroom is so important to the overall feel of the room, particularly as the ambience you require can vary so much – requiring a soft and luxurious feel when relaxing in a hot bubbly bath but needing brilliant illumination for the intense preparation before starting your day.

One of the easiest and cost effective ways of achieving different lighting tones in a bathroom is via wall lights. They can be set to frame a mirror and create a point of accented light, switched on in combination with the ceiling light for added brilliance or just used on their own, for that tranquil mood required for winding down after a hard day.

With a range of 4 different bathroom lights available in Glass, Ceramic, Chrome and Nickel, we have plenty of solutions to meet your bathroom needs – whatever your style or décor.

It’s very important to ensure that the lighting in your bathroom is safe for such a wet and steamy environment. The Ingress Protection (IP) rating relates to the level of water protection a light has been tested against. An IP44 rating or above is an essential requirement for lighting to be deemed safe for use in the bathroom so do check before you buy. All of our bathroom lights are IP44 rated and you can even use some of our stunning outdoor lights in your bathroom too if you’re after a more industrial feel – just look out for the IP44 rating in the product specification.

Once the lighting is sorted, think about a few other finishing touches to give the room an added lift – perhaps a towel ladder to keep towels aired without installing awkward rails. A new laundry basket with a modern twist such as our Brunswick, and a mirrored bathroom cabinet for keeping all of your bits and bobs tidied away – you’ll be surprised at how different your bathroom will feel, but if you feel like going that extra mile, a fresh lick of paint will finish the job.
