Here at Garden Trading we are firm believers that you can never have too many planters. An indispensable staple of garden design, they open up so many possibilities, letting you plant shrubs and flowers that wouldn’t do well in your garden soil, adding a pop of colour into empty corners, and, with the right design, they can even change your entire aesthetic.
We’re always keeping an eye out for inspiration that we can channel into our collection, and, this Spring, we’ve come up with a gorgeous new range of shapes for one of our popular designs and even a few completely new planters, named after charming Cotswolds villages, ready to revitalise your garden.
To start with, we’ve taken the design of our Vence planters to new levels, given you more options than ever before. Inspired by Victorian dolly washers and named after the stunning town of St Paul de Vence in France, this popular planter is now available in square and tapered designs, and also as a gorgeous window box. With plenty of different sizes to choose from, these additions to our fluted zinc-plated Vence range offer the same level of timeless style in shapes that will suit any garden.
Similarly inspired by beautiful historic washtubs, our new Shilton planters are crafted from beaten metal for a timeless design that is at once elegant and vintage. Both the large and the small Shilton have sturdy handles, making carrying these planters easy, wherever you decide to place them. The charming antique effect will only improve as these planters are designed to age gracefully in your garden. Our new Chadlington Planters in galvanised steel are also designed to weather in this way, given you even more ways to add instant vintage style to your garden. With ring handles reminiscent of classic farmhouse water troughs and an elegant rounded base, these planters offer plenty of rustic charm.
Our Bibury Table Top Planter has proved such a delight that we absolutely had to add more bowl designs to our collection. Now available in large and extra-large sizes, the possibilities are endless. When filled with ice, the Bibury planter doubles as a stylish drinks serving bowl for outdoor entertaining, and the new larger sizes offer enough space to start an ample herb garden. Not content with expanding the Bibury range, we’ve also introduced our new Charlbury bowl planters. Sold in a set of two, these planters offer just as many possibilities, from an elegant vase for floating flowers to perfect pot for a bonsai.
No matter what style garden you want to create, these planters offer timeless designs that are a great way to refresh your garden’s look for the coming warmer months.
