Have S'mores Fun with Our Sweet and Savoury Recipes

15th Sep 2019

Let's face it, we are all big kids at heart. And even though your mum always told you not to play with your food, there's something undeniably enjoyable about food that has a little bit of extra fun involved.

That's why we love s'mores. Whether it's warm or cool outside and we have even the smallest reason to spend time together, we like to revisit our childhood and relive those Brownie and Scout days once more.

So when we found ourselves gathered round the fire pit at a recent GTHQ BBQ the challenge began to come up with the best s'mores combination for Autumn.

Here were the two winning recipes: one sweet, one savoury for you to try at home.

Camembert, Bacon & Maple Syrup S'Mores

If you go gooey at just the mention of cheese, this savoury s'mores recipe will melt your heart.

For each savoury s'more:

  • 2 squares of multi-grain crackers (we used Millers Harvest Three-Seed Crackers)
  • 1 slice of streaky bacon (cooked to your liking)
  • 1 square of camembert (cut as thickly or thinly as you )
  • Maple syrup
  • A square of foil big enough to securely wrap the s'more and hold its contents securely together

Now stack it:

1. Lie your foil square flat on the table and place your bottom cracker in position
