Built for a life out in the garden, our chunky Kingscote Rattan Planter is a robust and durable plant pot hand-woven from a type of palm tree called calamus rotang. This has the appearance of bamboo, but its strong inner core means it's extra sturdy, and each one is unique thanks to the individuality of the hand-weaving process. It's 100% watertight thanks to a black recycled plastic lining, which also sits directly on the ground to stop the rattan from sitting in puddles and rotting.

This planter includes drainage holes, and plants can be potted straight into it without the need for an inner plant pot. Rattan is naturally frost-resistant, but will change colour as it weathers over time. This large version has a 117-litre capacity, and it's also available in large and medium sizes, as well as in a variety of other designs that include the Kingscote Rattan Water Butt.
