Well, we did it. We made it through January - was it just us or did that feel like the month that lasted a year?
As we say hello to February we're beginning to feel like we're properly waking up to 2019 and getting ready to say goodbye to Winter. Spring feels that little bit closer and traditionally, it's also the month of love. Not just between spouses and partners but amongst families and between friends.
For this edition of The Edit, we've picked items with these two themes in mind: embracing nature and love.
Whether you're looking for a Valentine's gift, to show yourself some love or looking for inspiration for the month ahead, here are our five favourites. To shop the February Edit in full click here
1. Love Lives Here
A sure sign to let people know that home is where the heart is, the heart doormat is available in two sizes and made from natural coconut fibres, it's a love-ly addition to your hallway or bootroom.
2. The Way to Their Heart
We all know how that one goes, and isn't it true. Show someone you care with something made especially for them. We'd love nothing more than a beautifully laid breakfast in bed or some thoughtfully-decorated biscuits (we'll just leave that here). The Cornbury Butter Dish adds that little bit of extra special style to a table or tray for an extra special someone.
Spring may be around the corner and the nights are slowly, but surely, getting a little longer. However it's still somewhat grey out there most days. Added to The Edit because they perfectly bridge the seasonal gap until lighter, brighter days arrive, Festoon lights create a cosy, romantic feel indoors and give a warm welcoming glow when looped around branches, over walls and fences in the garden.
4. No Mud Allowed (Inside That Is)
With half-term this month, the kids are off school and whatever the weather will no doubt have some energy to burn - time to get outside in nature to let it all out! Avoid bringing puddles of mud back inside with you with the Farringdon Welly Stand. A welcome bit of order to beat the mountain of grubby wellies that usual commandeers the back door.
5. The Indoor Garden
The Farringdon Box Shelf is the ideal tonic for our warmer weather impatience - you needn't even go outside if you don't want to. Create an indoor botanical display that is the perfect mix between delicate greenery and contemporary industrial design. Add pots or bowls filled with trailing plants, cacti and ferns for an easy indoor garden update.
