The August Edit

18th Aug 2021

With the light now fading earlier in the evenings, August brings us a final opportunity to enjoy the warmth of the garden – not to mention one last Bank Holiday - before we officially embrace the end of summer. This month we’re harvesting fruits and other vegetables, pruning wisteria, and setting the scene with foldable garden furniture and outdoor accessories in preparation for the seasonal change.

Shetland Bee House

We all know that growing flowers rich in pollen and nectar is a must, but you can go one step further to help our all-important pollinators, by creating a Bee hotel in your garden. Crafted from Spruce with a non-toxic stain and striking monochrome effect, The Shetland Bee House provides bees with a suitable place to nest and keep warm after a hard day’s work. Designed with a metal loop, it’s ready to hang and should be situated in direct sunlight facing south or southeast, away from any obstructing plants to ensure those hard workers are able to navigate their way home with ease.
