We all have our favourites. Films we watch over and over again, every year. Films we couldn't imagine having Christmas without.
Here we round up the top ten GTHQ favourites, some obvious, some not so much, ready for you to try.
1. Jess' Choice - National Lampoon's Vacation
When everything that could go wrong does go wrong. The calamitous Griswold family try to have the best family Christmas ever - with hilarious results. An oldie but goodie.
2. Beth's Choice - Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone
From Harry receiving his first ever Christmas, courtesy of Mrs Weasley to Hagrid dragging the christmas tree into the Great Hall. There are so many lovely little festive moments, all set to the dreamlike landscape and magic of Hogwarts. A match made in festive heaven.
3. Katie's Choice - The Family Stone
Bringing family together is never as harmonious as we imagine it to be; especially when you know every which way to wind up your siblings (no matter than you're all well into your thirties). But still, family is what Christmas is about and when it really matters, you're there for each other. Heart-warming and bittersweet makes for a special blend of Christmas movie.
4. Sophie's Choice - Arthur Christmas
A relatively new favourite. Arthur's genuine love and belief in the magic of Christmas is hugely contagious. We dare you not to feel festive after this fun, family film.
5. Charlotte's Choice - The Santa Clause
When a random guy accidentally kills Father Christmas, he has to step into his big black boots. Then the magic really happens.
6. Jess' Choice - Jack Frost
When a young boy's dad dies in an accident, he comes back to life - as a snowman. Tissues at the ready, this is sentimental seasonal viewing at its best.
7. Beth's Choice - Dr Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas
A classic movie from a classic Christmas story. Not even the Grinch can stay cold-hearted at Christmastime for long.
8. Katie's Choice - The Polar Express
Some people think there is a slight scariness to the film's animation. But there's magic, singing and dancing (about hot chocolate no less) and the idea that no matter how old we get, we should never stop believing. Which we really shouldn't.
9. Sophie's Choice - Elf
When Buddy who's been raised as an elf, returns to New York City to find his real family, he has a hard time adjusting to human life. Very sweet and even funnier.
10. Charlotte's Choice - The Holiday
Who doesn't love a little romance at Christmas?! And these two women swapping homes across the Atlantic to rediscover love delivers just that.
And a new entry for this year. We are loving the trailer for Last Christmas featuring Emilia Clark and, Christmas Movie Queen, Dame Emma Thompson, released this month. Featuring the music of George Michael, Last Christmas looks to be both a heart-warming and touching story set against a very festive London backdrop.
