Jon's Father's Day Wishlist
08 June 2015
Father’s Day is fast approaching, and those of you that read my Christmas wishlist will know that I’m dreading another influx of socks… Summer is fast approaching and it’s the perfect time to treat us men to something useful to enjoy in the great outdoors, so step away from the sock counter and try something new this year!
An Apple Press is always great for a gift with a difference, not for making apple juice of course but for trying a hand at cider making, swiftly followed by lazy days spent relaxing in the sunshine with glass of said cider in hand.
You can’t go wrong with a BBQ – have you ever met a man who isn’t fascinated by fire? Pick up something portable like this affordable Whitstable version and you’re in for endless ‘good’ food; in the garden, at the beach, on a camping holiday…
Saying that, a Kadai will go down a storm, endless hours of fun poking at the flames ‘to stop the fire going out’ and with the added advantage of doubling up as an extra-large BBQ for those big family gatherings.
As a nation of weather-watchers monitoring the temperature, particularly when planning summer BBQ’s, is a must for most men. Pick up this Barometer and Thermometer Set to help him stay one step ahead.
A good old fashioned Post Box might not immediately spring to mind when thinking of gift ideas, but the long Saturday lie-in granted by removing the need to race the dog to the pile of bills will be infinitely appreciated… tempting though it can be to just let him dispose of them for us.
There’s just something special about the relationship between a man and his shed, treat him to this Colworth Shed Storage Unit and he’ll be occupied for hours putting his essential garden tools and accessories in a safe new place. If you’re feeling extra generous, start him off with the essentials and buy a lawnmower brush, string dispenser and seed box too!
