Breakfast in the Garden
28 July 2016
When the weather is lovely, it’s the perfect excuse to take advantage of the warm temperatures and start your day with a long lazy breakfast outside. Wake up slowly while you bask in the sunshine with a freshly brewed pot of coffee, delving into some thickly buttered toast, flaky croissants or just a bowl of cereal – everything tastes better in the fresh air and sunshine!
To really indulge in that continental feeling of dining outdoors, ensure you’ve stocked up on the essentials to relax in style each sunny weekend this summer.
In true British fashion, breakfast wouldn’t be breakfast without a reliable Teapot. We adore our new Charcoal Enamel version, which not only looks stylish but with a 1 Litre capacity is large enough to keep you and your family topped up throughout breakfast; that’s equivalent to 6 cups or 4 generous mugs of tea – but we’ll leave it up to you whether you want to share or not! If a piping hot cup of coffee is more your cup of tea (ahem) take a look at our matching Coffee Pot, or invest in the pair if you can’t decide and keep the whole family happy!
Why not indulge a little bit further and make breakfast a proper occasion with a Toast Rack. With 6 roomy slots, it is superb for keeping toast crisp and ready for spreading plenty of butter and jam. Pair with a Butter Dish with Lid and you’re all set for a future free from soggy toast. If you’re feeling really fancy, take a peek at our jam making blog and prepare your own fruity spread to make a truly decadent feast.
After you’ve put in all the hard work preparing your delicious food in the kitchen, the last thing you want is for it to get cold as you’re running it all out into the garden. Invest in a tray, preferably one with deep sides such as our Paxford Tray so you can pile it high with your breakfast bits and bobs and transport it all safely outside in one easy trip. If space is an issue, our Butlers Trays are just the thing, as they provide a little bit of extra space propped up next to your table.
