National Gardening Week 2016
13 April 2016
It’s National Gardening Week!
Now in its fifth year, National Gardening Week has become the country’s biggest celebration of gardening. With plenty of events to join in, there’s something for gardeners of all skill levels to get involved with across the country, whether you have green fingers or once grew cress for a school project!
At Garden Trading, we have plenty to get you started or keep you going in the greenhouse and garden. From Wooden Dibbers to Planting Trays and Seed Markers, there are lots of useful items available to get you sowing and planting. We also have a selection of Watering Cans and Trugs to keep your existing plants in order, as well as a few clever ways to keep Garden Hoses tidy, ready to top up your flowerbeds.
As always, we have plenty of Planters, perfect for filling up empty spaces and bringing in interesting plants that might not do so well if they were planted straight into your soil. For those who prefer to start small, a herb garden is a great way to get started, with a tasty end result that’s bound to impress dinner guests. Why not plant up one of our Bibury Planters with herbs, or invest in a few Clay or Galvanised Herb Pots and a Wirework Carrier to make carrying a selection to and from the kitchen absolutely effortless?
If your garden has seen better days, it might be a good time to invest in some new Tools or Storage Solutions to keep it in order. Our Farringdon Wirework Shelves and Storage Units are a great lightweight way to make use of a shed wall, and perfect for popping useful bits and bobs like our String Dispenser in Greengage.
With everything to hand, you might even want to try training plants to climb Trellises or follow Supports for a stunning effect that’s great for letting plants stand out from busy flowerbeds or empty walls.
Whatever you decide to do this week, it’s a great excuse to spend some time outside; why not look at the official website, http://nationalgardeningweek.org.uk, for inspiration?
