A new Flower and Garden Show at Blenheim Palace, 21 – 23 June 2013– a regional mini Chelsea?

18 June 2013

Exciting news! Blenheim Palace is holding its first ever flower and garden show this year, and it’s set to be a great event. We can’t think of a better venue for an event like this, with the backdrop of the palace, the beautiful Capability Brown landscaped grounds and not least their reputation for getting things right.

We all love The Chelsea Flower Show, so the opportunity for a regional flower and garden event is music to our ears. Its focus is celebrating everything floral, with a host of award-winning nurseries, gardening celebrities and experts on tap to help you transform your garden into a tranquil haven. The show is packed with inspiration and colour and celebrates the very best of British gardening.

We’re particularly looking forward to meeting one of TV’s favourite gardening celebrities Christine Walkden, as well as, Celebrity Chef Jean Christophe Novelli who will be at the show on Friday 21st June demonstrating how to cook the perfect BBQ food.

The event is being backed by Visit England and opened by its Chairman, Lady Cobham, who says “The English Garden has been seducing visitors for hundreds of years. This new flower show not only celebrates the magic of the English Country Garden but will inspire visitors to visit gardens throughout the country, as well as creating their own floral havens at home.”

Blenheim is our local palace so we’ll be going and hope you will too!
